For some drivers and some applications, a two-wheel drive system just doesn’t cut it, be it front-wheel or rear-wheel drive. Quadra-Drive has Selec-Speed, which acts like a low-gear/low-speed cruise control and has the added benefit of an electronic limited-slip rear differential.
So, does it matter? Our short answer would be “yes.” Jeep vehicles bring with them a reputation for formidable off-road performance, and their four-wheel drive systems are a big part of how they came by that reputation.
