At this point, Dodge and Ram are household names. They are brands that have been contributing immensely to the automotive industry for a long time. It is not surprising that they have both finished in a one-two order in the J.D. Power Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study™ for the second year in a row.
That’s not all, as a domestic brand, Dodge was the first in its category to take the number one position, and now it has become the first domestic brand to take the position for two years straight. Not to mention that this year marks the third year that the two brands have done better than their competition in the study.
The 2021 J.D. Power Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study™ was recently revised to encompass more details, such as the customers’ emotional connection with their 2021 model vehicles. It uses customer reviews and feedbacks that cover the vehicle’s attributes from throttle response to seating comfort and every other thing in between during the first three months after they’ve purchased the car. This feedback is based on a 1000 point APEAL index aggregate.
In addition, the APEAL Study of 2021 named the 2021 Ram 1500 the best vehicle in the large light-duty pickup segment. We already know that, but now there’s a tested study to back it up, and once again, it’s the second year that Ram 1500 has taken this honor. According to Mark Champine, the Head of Customer Experience for Stellantis in North America, the brand has continued to deliver on its promise to do better, which can be seen in its achievements this year.
Like last year, Dodge and RAM have earned 882 and 881 points, respectively. Of course, both of them have improved ten points from the previous year. Furthermore, other Dodge, RAM, and Jeep® vehicles did pretty well in their respective categories. This includes the 2021 Dodge Charger and the 2021 Dodge Durango.
