2027 Dodge Charger: Performance, Trims, and What’s New
The 2027 Dodge Charger is now in production and arriving in dealer showrooms. Contact Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram of Ontario to check current availability. Mechanically it is a carryover year. But two things changed. The electric Daytona Scat Pack gains a NACS charging port. And Dodge added more than 25 new ways to customize the car from the factory. Three powertrains anchor the current lineup: a 420-horsepower twin-turbo inline-six, a 550-horsepower high-output version of that engine, and a 670-horsepower dual-motor electric setup. Every one comes as a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan, and every one has standard all-wheel drive.
What’s New for the 2027 Model Year

Three Powertrains, One Nameplate
Dodge splits the 2027 Charger into two families. Charger SIXPACK models use a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six. The R/T runs the standard-output tune at 420 horsepower, which Dodge bills as the most standard horsepower of any muscle car. The Scat Pack runs the high-output version at 550 horsepower, which Dodge calls the most powerful Hurricane engine in production.
Both gas models use an eight-speed automatic with standard all-wheel drive. Both also offer an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode. It sends all torque to the rear wheels at the push of a button. Line Lock and Launch Control are available on the R/T and standard on the Scat Pack.
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the all-electric side of the family. Dual motors produce up to 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft. 2027 Charger Trims and Pricing
Six trims make up the lineup, and each comes in both body styles. Plus trims add ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, memory seating, a head-up display, navigation, a surround-view camera, wireless charging, and a power rear hatch. On the SIXPACK models the Plus also brings the 16-inch digital cluster. The Daytona Scat Pack has that cluster as standard equipment.
One pricing note is worth knowing. At the manufacturer’s suggested prices below, the two-door R/T Plus and the two-door Scat Pack land within a few dollars of each other. Daytona Range, Efficiency, and NACS Charging
The biggest 2027 change lands on the electric Charger. The Daytona Scat Pack is the first Stellantis model to leave the factory with a North American Charging System port. That means direct access to Tesla Supercharger stations without an adapter. Dodge confirmed the change in its 2027 Charger press kit.
A J1772-to-NACS adapter for Level 2 AC charging is included. The Daytona Scat Pack uses a 400-volt architecture with a 100.5 kWh battery pack.

Interior Colors and Exterior Finishes
Petrol Blue performance leather seats are new for the Scat Pack. They use Digital Slash perforation with red stitching. Demonic Red seats are available on the R/T Plus, the Scat Pack Plus, and the Daytona Scat Pack Plus. Plus trims also add 64-color Attitude Adjustment lighting.
Eight exterior colors are offered across the lineup: Bludicrous, Diamond Black, Green Machine, Redeye, Sub-Zero, White Knuckle, the limited-run Purple Haze, and Red Oxide, which Dodge announced in August 2026 with orders opening the following month. Two more finishes, Sucker Punch and Shady, are exclusive to the Charger Super Bee Launch Edition.
Interior Space and Cargo Room
The Charger seats five. The hatchback body is why this generation works as a daily driver in a way earlier Chargers did not. A hidden liftgate opens onto a wide, low load floor. Safety and Driver-Assistance Technology
Dodge fits a Level 2 advanced driver-assistance suite as standard on every 2027 Charger. It is a hands-on system. The driver keeps both hands on the wheel and stays responsible for the vehicle at all times.
Five features are standard across all three models. They are Active Driving Assist, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring with Active Rear Cross Path detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection. Plus trims add a 360-degree surround-view camera. They also add a turn-signal-activated blind-spot view. Front and rear park assist comes with the Driver Convenience Group on the R/T. The Daytona Scat Pack pairs that suite with its Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which gives the electric Charger an audible signature at low speed.

Warranty Coverage
Every 2027 Charger carries a basic limited warranty of three years or 36,000 miles. The powertrain limited warranty runs five years or 60,000 miles. Coming Later: The Charger Super Bee Launch Edition
Dodge unveiled the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition on August 7, 2026. It is a limited-production model built on the SIXPACK-powered Charger platform, and Dodge calls it the quickest, fastest, and most powerful Super Bee the brand has produced.
A Super Bee-exclusive high-output version of the twin-turbo SIXPACK engine delivers an SAE-certified 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft. Larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers, a custom engine calibration, added thermal capacity, and a returning Torque Reserve function do the work. Dodge lists a 3.6-second 0-60 mph time and an 11.8-second quarter mile.
Dedicated hardware includes 16-inch Brembo vented rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear fixed calipers, 20-by-11-inch forged wheels on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 305/35ZR20 tires, and a new dual-valve adaptive damping suspension. Launch Edition cars are offered in three colors: Sucker Punch, Shady, and Diamond Black. Assembly is at the Windsor Assembly Plant. How far can the 2027 Charger Daytona go on a charge?
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack carries an EPA-estimated range of up to 267 miles. Models fitted with the Track Package tire and wheel setup are EPA-estimated at 241 miles. Efficiency is up to an EPA-estimated 86 MPGe combined, and the standard wheel and tire setup returns the best of those figures.
Are the R/T and Scat Pack electric too?
No. The Charger R/T and Charger Scat Pack are gasoline models. Both use the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged SIXPACK inline-six paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The R/T produces 420 horsepower and the Scat Pack produces 550 horsepower. Only the Daytona Scat Pack is fully electric.
